Series 68 of record group 59-4 consists of a map of the states of Michigan and Wisconsin, embracing a great part of Iowa, Illinois and Minnesota, and the whole mineral region, with charts of the lakes, exhibiting the sections, the soundings, the geological formations, and the general topography, originally collected by the Michigan Lands Division. The map is 47 1/2" x V 67" in size with a scale of 7 1/2" to 1 in. Includes insets: map of Beaver Isles from actual surveys; a geological map of Isle Royale, Lake Superior; connection of the private claims with the public surveys at Ptc. Ste.
